Matt is an experienced whisky and spirits writer, presenter, communicator and educator. He founded the award-winning whisky blog Whisky For Everyone with his wife, Karen Taylor, in 2008 and this remains one of the best read whisky blogs out there. He also has experience of working in specialist whisky retail, as UK Brand Ambassador for the Scotch whisky portfolio of Brown-Forman and educating consumers, bartenders and those working within the spirits industry.

Matt regularly sits on panels at drinks competitions including the IWSC and Global Spirits Masters, plus the World Whisky and World Drinks Awards. He runs a whisky club in north London and hosts regular monthly tasting events. He is also consulting for a new independent Scotch whisky bottler and is head of their cask selection panel.

Matt was inducted as a Keeper of the Quaich in 2015 for his services to Scotch whisky. He remains one of the few whisky influencers to have received this prestigious honour. Matt and Karen also remain the only married couple to be inducted as Keepers at the same ceremony.
