The Technical Director of the GWSC competition and one of the judges, Tobias Gorn, has been relieved of his duties.
Due to violations of the terms of the contract signed with GWSC, the contract with Mr. Gorn has been terminated. This decision was made in accordance with our principles of professionalism and integrity, with the aim of protecting the credibility and reputation of the competition.
GWSC competition maintains its international character
Despite this change, the GWSC competition continues to uphold the same standards of excellence. The spirits competition, scheduled to take place in April in Zagreb, will proceed as planned without any impact on the evaluation process.
The competition’s organizer, Robert Lukić, emphasized that the vision with which GWSC was founded remains unchanged:
“From the very beginning, our goal has been to enhance the way wines and spirits are evaluated and judged in the region. From day one, we have insisted on equal representation of judges, both male and female, with international licenses. Our focus has always been on professionalism and expertise, rather than individual names in the industry.”
The Global Wine and Spirits Competition remains committed to providing impartial evaluations, ensuring that every submitted sample is assessed according to the highest international standards.
